The TCD Podcast

This podcast is, I believe, the first Australian truck drivers podcast to be created. (I am open to correction!) I decided to put it together after seeing the growth of U.S. based "Trucking Podcasts" and figured that it can't be too hard. 

I am a long distance truck driver based out of Perth in Western Australia. I have, in the past, run East-West (or "across the paddock" [Nullabor Plain]) but these days I mainly run North-West Western Australia with only the occassional East-West run thrown in.

I usually run double or triple roadtrains and began driving trucks 20 years ago. I have carted many different types of freight and towed many different types of trailers ranging from flattops to tankers to fridge/freezers to name a few. One of my loads was even valued at $1.5 million (they didn't tell me until AFTER I delivered it!). I began my "apprenticeship" driving the trucks the more senior operators wouldn't drive and have worked hard to be the driver I am today.

I consider myself an average bloke doing his job. I like to have a clean and tidy truck but I don't get time to wax and polish every weekend (weekends are a luxury). I take pride in a job well done and believe in getting things done with the minimum of fuss. 

As I learn more about podcasting I hope to expand this podcast to make the content more interesting and informative.
